Memorial Scholarship

Kyle Stearns was a 2004 graduate of CRCS. Kyle passed away in an unfortunate car accident. Kyle was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. In his memory, family and friends have organized the Kyle J. Stearns Memorial Squirrel Hunt. This event is held in early October each year at the Cuba Rob and Gun Club. Hunters can compete for the biggest squirrel or in the points system that includes gray, black, and fox squirrels. Cash, Prizes and an Auction start at the clubhouse at 3PM. If interested contact Kirk Keiser at 585-610-9410. Proceeds go toward 2 scholarship winners for the New York State DEC conservation camp. Additional awards for students with opportunities to hunt or fish. Know as Kyle's Hunting/Fishing Scholarship.

Jacy wanted to hunt a ram. She was not told she had won the scholarship until the morning of the hunt in New Zealand. Jacy was so suprised that she had won and was able to take this magnificent ram!
